Investing In Green Tech The Big Bang Of The Future

Where oh where is the smart investor putting their money in these difficult financial times? A lot of people are simply pulling their money out of the stock market all together and this is actually a big part of the problem right now. People are so scared by all the recent events that they have pulled out what they could save and are simply trying to stay liquid at this point. There is a wave forming on the horizon and now may be the perfect time to get in on it.

That wave of investment opportunity that I am talking about is that of green technologies. The momentum for green technologies has been building for the last few years but thanks to all the outrageous fuel prices this year the public outcry to go green has reached a fevered pitch. Thankfully governments and corporations are starting to listen. We really are at the beginning of a whole new era and direction for technology to explode now that there is a clear need.

Green tech stocks are going to push the stock markets forward for years to come. Just think of all the technologies that came about when back in the 50’s and 60’s countries were battling to be the first in space and eventually to the moon. You had millions of people and governments around the world that were all working towards this one goal. Much the way the world is focused now on going green to save our planet and our wallets.

Companies around the world are in a race to come up with clean green technologies to fuel the planet for the next generation and beyond. Perhaps the best example I could give you that investing in green companies pushing green technologies is that of the recent investment of a small investor you may have heard of before, Warren Buffet.

Bangui Bay WindmillsHis MidAmerican Energy Holdings company recently made an investment of $230 million dollars to a company in China the BYD Company Limited. What does the BYD company produce you might be asking? They are working on electric hybrid cars to be released in China and eventually Europe in the next two years.  I’m telling you know the Buffet companies may be going down right now like the rest of the economy but they are clearly moving in a green direction with their investment choices of the future. MidAmerican also just invested $4.7 billion in Constellation Energy, a company that builds and has nuclear power plants in the US.

I know these are terrible times in the financial world but if you are paying attention. The signs are all there that opportunities to make boat loads of money in the stock market will return again. I say the place to be is in with those companies pushing the clean green tech.
